required for a college class
Dear textbook writers/editors/publishers: Please immediately cease and desist from putting explanations of graphs on the page preceding or following the graph itself. Having to flip between an explanation and the graph is irritating and bothersome and distracts me from the text. Also, please explain your equations, how you manipulated them and why you did so.Other than that, this book is well-written, generally fairly clear and interesting, with plenty of relevant real-life content. The practice exercises at the end of the book tend to be problem or graph based, and don't really help you understand the concepts you just read. I would read a chapter and understand it very well and then be completely confused on some of the practice problems. The organization of the book is a little weird in that it constantly tries to outline exactly where the chapter is going, and the way they do it just inexplicably leaves you feeling less organized than you were before.
I bought this just to dig in a little deeper with finance and investing, and it has turned out to be instrumental. Easy to follow, practical applications and it's not all "hype" or bs, it's actually great info. You won't regret this buy.
The numerical aspects of the presentation of the concepts and examples is insufficient. I wish the workbook could fill the void but it does not.
Contains some little typos (ex: words swapped : steel for computer on one example). Overall a good book with clear explains
It is a good book, with hard cover book, ineteresting but hard to understand. You should have Micro and Macro bassis to get all the information
